Hi, I can't seem to be able to work out why apps purchased on my iPad are not appearing on my iPhone and vice versa. I have automatic downloads turned on and the photos are appearing on both devices but not apps ? Can anyone help ?

Some apps may be iPad only. iPhone apps will work on the iPad, but iPad apps will not work on the iPhone. Also some apps only work on certain devices and will not run on older iOS devices. Also, are you using same Apple ID on both devices for purchases?
Hi. I have the same software in both and have checked I am using the same Id on both devices. It was previously working ubtill apple gave me a new phone now I can't get it to work with apps that are for both like skype for instance. Is there something I need to do on iTunes ? I can get my head around it !!
Make sure the 'missing' apps are checked marked to be synced to your new iPhone.
Connect your iPhone to iTunes. Click on the iPhone in the left panel. Click on Apps in the top tab bar. Ensure that the missing apps are checked to be synced. Sync.
you also have to check to see if one device had downloaded the app thru wifi (some apps are more than 50MB and only download while on wifi)
if you install apps on your ipad and then dont see them on your iphone, make sure the icloud/apps settings are set to download even on 3G (warning, you'll eat data) and vise versa
