Profile Manager: Can't enrol a Mac if a CalDAV payload doesn't contain a password

Hi all,

I'm having the strangest problem with Profile Manager. If I configure a CalDAV payload in a group or user profile, leaving the password blank (for the user to enter) causes the push action to fail. If I enter a password in the payload, the profile will install normally.

Has anyone encountered this? Any workarounds?

I'm running Lion Server 10.7.3 and client 10.7.3

I'm on the same boat, I can't save the profile without entering a password in the CalDAV payload.

I am using Mountain Lion Server 10.8.2.

Still the same issue in four different Profile Manager servers for us. Bit of a glaring bug in Apple's own device management software. Would be nice if they got around to fixing it, considering we're up to 10.8.2 and it still exists.

Ditto. We still can't define group profile CalDAV payloads because it requires a password. Defining CalDAV payloads can only be done by user because of this bug which goes all the way back to OS X Lion.

Apple, are you ever going to fix this bug in Profile Manager? It's been several years now. It's silly at this point.
