How do i make it so that wen i download something it doesnt go to my downloads folder?
Or if i cant how do i empty the downloads folder in my finder cos if i delete things manually it doenst affect anything and it just builds up in that folder?

select Safari Preferences > General, "Save downloaded files to:" select "Other" and select where you want them to go.
The Desktop is an obvious choice, once you move or save whatever it is you're downloading drag what you don't need to the Trash.
