iMac MC812 can't update v10.6.6 to v.10.6.8 update fail error.pls reply me. thk alot

Make sure there's enough free space on the startup disk in order to download and install updates.
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space.
And try using the standalone combo instead of Apple menu > Software Update.
Restart your Mac after the combo is installed.
