Apr 8, 2012 2:48 PM in response to v0vetsby Nicolai,Same problem here in DK.
I have a full signal, carrier name, 3G indication on my 3gen iPad but no connection to the internet. Once the iPad has connection to the internet it will loose it again. The only way to reestablish it is to reboot the iPad. Some times that does'nt even work.
Really hope this gets fixed in an os update.
(Actually this is the second time I write this post. Lost connection to the internet the first time and had to go home and connect to my wifi in order to send this.)

Apr 8, 2012 6:31 PM in response to v0vetsby Clodimedius,Here, in Canada, with Rogers LTE, I experience the same issue.
Seeing all the posts here suggest that is is not the carrier being the issue.
Working at home with the Wifi, I switch it off before leaving, and the LTE network is still active.
Randomly, I get connected to either the 3G or to the LTE servers, and the switching is not totally transparent. The ultimate cure is to reboot, which is just a work around that we should not have to use, hopefully.
Unfortunately, the implementation of switching between Wifi and G3/LTE network might poorly implemented into the new iPad, is is the first Apple LTE device, isn't?
Either it is a hardware problem or a lack of seamless Ip adress switching into IOS, the operating system. Let's hope that is the latter and that can be corrected with an IOS patch/upgrade. If it is a poorly conceived hardware, with so much components packed behind that marvelous Retina display, we are in trouble, my friends...
We will have to watch closely this thread to see if Apple will come out with a rabbit from their hat. I gave my ipad,2 to my sister as an Easter surprise, but will I regret my dearly beloved iPad 2? I placed a link on my desktop to come back to watch and monitor.
Let's admit that these issues ust be scrutinized closely... And the different situations where it happens fully inventoried. Good luck to us, all!

Apr 9, 2012 1:13 AM in response to v0vetsby durkadurka,Another affected user within the UK on Orange and I now have to disable data when at home so when I go out I can then enable data and carry on using my iPad.
If I have both on at the same time then if I turn wifi off there is zero chance that data will work without resetting the network settings or a hard reboot.
Hopefully this will be easily fixed in the next iOS update.

Apr 9, 2012 4:52 PM in response to v0vetsby Andrew6662,Same issue faced by my new iPad in Singapore which was purchased in the US. Does this mean I need to send back to us for replacement if it's a hardware issue?

Apr 10, 2012 1:10 AM in response to v0vetsby Debator,No one reports anything but problems with this, hence we can assume the problem is a general one. Total catastrophy. On my iPad2 I usually switch of WiFi before turning on 3G and vice versa. That seems to do the trick for many, so I hope that will be the workaround for my new iPad until Apple solves this. Too many c*ck-ups for a 3rd generation model with only minor changes. Yet again customers do the debugging for free.

Apr 10, 2012 1:27 AM in response to Debatorby reeflobang,My mobile operator in Sngapore proposed the following steps and my new iPad is working now.
- clear History and cookies
- Reset network settings
- On the operator's end, they also have to reset my connection on the network
All seems to working fine now as I tried computations of on/off Wifi and also mobile broadband.
Hope this helps.

Apr 10, 2012 5:25 AM in response to reeflobangby Andrew6662,Hi. Doesn't work for me on Singtel network. Reset network, cleared Wi-Fi setting, even changed sim card eventually at Singtel shop, but still not solving the problem. This could be a hardware issue? My colleague ordered this from US together with me and did not face any problem, but his network is Starhub...

Apr 10, 2012 6:45 AM in response to v0vetsby etresoft,You know, Apple Support Communities has this handy "me too" feature now. Only 17 people have used it so far. I all you are doing is saying "me too" consider using the tool designed for that.
