I have a Pegasus R4 hard drive system connected by a Thunderbolt cable to an iMac. It has bee functioning flawlessly for several months. We had a power outage during the day and ever since the R4 has not been able to reset. Anyone have any advice out there on this issue.
Yes i have a problem that sounds simular. After a power outage my Pegasus R4's power light turned to orange and will no long mount or respond. I have contacted Promise Technology without much help yet.
Any updates on how to fix? I've had same problem 😟
Sorry Freya89, After contacing Promise multible times and raising **** i was sent a new Pegasus. The whole process took about 2 weeks to be up and running again. They also never told me what the issues was. After i got the new one i have had 0 problems for over a year now. I love this thing again.
Just continue contacting Promise Technology as i am sure their support is much better now.
Not trying to be a stick in the Mud here but you guys that are serious gamers need to always keep a close eye on the weather. If there is the possibility of a storm you must have an APC or Battery Backup. Just a Power Strip is sometimes not enough. Of course you have No Control over Power Companies cutting your Power and causing a Power Surge that fries your equipment. Please Please be aware of the weather I cannot tell you how many things I have cooked over the years by not taking this advise. It can save you thousands of dollars.

Yes! I was able to use the same harddrives.
