Q: it seems like Apple with moth

My MacBookPro 17" had bought in the early 2008. The battery was expansion in early 2011. It's not convenient for notebook without battery, so I have bought a new one and use MBP 17" at home once in a while. Nowaday, the screen of MBP 17" have no any reaction. I took it to repair station assigned in GongZhou of China. They charged me $200 just for testing, and just oral told me the mainboard was burn, no official report, no invoice. They told me it will take $2000 if I repair. So I quit. I have no idea that I press the power of MBP 17", why the CD can run, the system can load, just screen is black if mainboard is burn.

Now, I found Apple's website http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2377?viewlocale=en_US , the subject is "MacBook Pro: Distorted video or no video issues". I went back to tell the repair station, they just told me - they didn't know and have not received the official paper. So did I, no email inform me about this. I also called 4006-272273, the number of Apple of China. I told them what I say above. They arrange another check for me, but they say my MBP was out of service, so I need to pay expenses if I will fix the video problem.

I just weird, the company know the product with blemish, they have duty to recall the product or inform user. They are not only doing nothing but also sending me advertisement all the time. It seems Apple company just focus on excessive selling, benefit for company, but not after selling, consumer's right, even if their product have problem. If they do have informed any related firms and users, it no need to cost me long time to find solution. Otherwise, it makes no sense to charge me any expenses to repair blemish from company's failure, enven if the product exceed 4 years.
