I downloaded the HD version of the premier of Mad Men Season 5 and was dissapointed that I could only get stereo audio and not surround. At first I thought it was my configuration but when I look at the file I quicktime 7 player and show movie properties it only shows a stereo audio track. Other iTunes videos show both a stereo and surround track. What gives?

Yeah I'm upset about this too! The Playstation, Xbox Live, Amazon stores all offer Dolbly Surround, but not iTunes. I contacted Apple and they said that it's the provider's (AMC) fault and to complain about it in the feedback section:
"Apple recognizes that no one is better qualified to provide feedback about our products and services than the people who use them. I urge you to submit any feedback you have about surround sound at Apple's Feedback page: http://www.apple.com/feedback "
I'm going to try to get in touch with AMC about it. They pulled a similar situtation with Sony's store and Season 4 (It wasn't in HD) and they fixed that.
I've left feedback in the iTunes store, with Apple and sent an email to AMC.
No Dolby surround in Mad Men Season 5?
