Photos and attachments don't show up in my iPads email

Whenever I get an email with a photo and/or attachement, a small blue box with a ? appears. I am getting it on both the iPad 2 and new iPad. Is there an upgrade or program for this?

Try Settings, Mail... Mail, Load remote images.
