When listening to an audiobook on my iPod, it will skip to the next book.

When listening to an audiobook on my iPod, it will play fine for a while but then will skip to the next book. I then have to go back to menu, the book I'm listening to, and find my spot where I left off. Anyone familiar with this problem and know how to resolve?
