Q: Siri - wheres my brother?
Hello,
Im wondering if anyone can help, its driving me insane trying to work it out and i cant find anywhere how its done.
Basically here in the UK there is currently an advert running showing off Siri.
A link of this ad is on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrQSw49YjAc
Right at the end it shows someone at a football club, and asks "is my brother here yet", Siri then shows a spot on google maps apparantly showing his brother to be just outside the stadium!!
How is Siri even able to do this, as far as im concerned this isnt actually possible without a 3rd party app which Siri doesnt connect with. Surely if this isnt possible Apple shouldnt be putting it into a TV ad.

Find My Friends. I can't swear it's available in the UK, but I believe it is. Look in the app store. It's free.
Both of you have to be using iPhones and have Find My Friends, and you both have to actively share your location with each other.
It works well, though, once you set it up. I was pretty amazed at how accurate it was. I was able to track my wife down in the mall to within a few feet of her actual location in a store when she had her phone set on vibrate and was so engrossed in shopping, she didn't realize how late it had gotten.
