Mar 27, 2012 3:38 PM in response to Kimroach1by OGELTHORPE,In addition to the link that Linc Davis has refered you to, check if your battery is swollen (it is located under the track pad) and sometimes a very good cleaning will help.
Ciao.

Apr 6, 2013 11:57 AM in response to OGELTHORPEby Lance Mcvickar,My magic track pad has been going crazy, I have two of them, one for my macmini and one for my macpro. The one connected to my mac pro works great the other connected to the mini is going crazy as in selecting things and opening things just not working properly at all. So I swithced them as a test and the same one that worked on my mac pro is now woriking fine with my mini, and the crazy one is now acting crazy with the mac pro.
iIs there some kind of full reset for the trackpad, I tried cleaning it and have fresh batteries, it's been doing this for about 2 months I guess I have to make a trip back to the apples store.

Jan 24, 2014 8:13 PM in response to Linc Davisby dyver26,My MacbookPro track pad was going CRAZY...opening & closing windows, putting it to sleep & waking it up...all after ...literally 2 drops of water. WIped off, used paper to clean out my crack (ha, sorry 'bout that) all around the pad...let it sit over night and nothing. No changes-still loco. Thought it was over and began planning a trip to the genius bar, but then I found one of your related posts. I reset my SMC as instructed and whamo! Good to go! Thanks Linc!
