Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Hi,
It seems a lot of people are having this issue.
I am seeing last played as accurate but play counts are either not registering at all or they are registering and then disappearing at a later date.
Does someone have a fix for this? Is Apple going to fix it?
Should I disable iTunes Match? I like having my playcounts!!

Itunes, view, make sure yi have the window is streched far enough.
Thanks for replying. The issue is not that I can't see play counts. It is that the play counts aren't registering.
In fact sometimes the counts actually disappear and drop to zero.
use the the up and down arrow to find out the the play count, in the view window.
Sorry, we are talking about two different things.
I am having the same problem... both with songs I bought on the iTunes store, and also for songs that I've imported off of real CDs.
I wonder if it's an iTunes Match or iCloud problem?
Same thing for me.
The account is decreasing when I listen from Itunes and decrease when I make a synchro with Ipad or Iphone. But not each time !
I tried to check with a Genius and He has not the answer...

I was having same problem in iTunes 11.0.1, most songs were playing but not adding to my playcount
It seems from reading forum here that iTunes registers a play in the final few seconds as you complete playing each track. Then it dawned on me - perhaps having 'crossfade' checked in prefs prevented it registering those vital last few seconds so I turned it off and now it seems to add each played track no problem đ
