itunes play count not working

Hi,


It seems a lot of people are having this issue.


I am seeing last played as accurate but play counts are either not registering at all or they are registering and then disappearing at a later date.


Does someone have a fix for this? Is Apple going to fix it?


Should I disable iTunes Match? I like having my playcounts!!

I was having same problem in iTunes 11.0.1, most songs were playing but not adding to my playcount


It seems from reading forum here that iTunes registers a play in the final few seconds as you complete playing each track. Then it dawned on me - perhaps having 'crossfade' checked in prefs prevented it registering those vital last few seconds so I turned it off and now it seems to add each played track no problem 😁
