Hello,

I want to buy a tablet but I hesitate to buy an ipad, because I read that silverlight is not working on mac devices. It's very important for me to be able to listen to some videos (for my classes), and they work only with silverlight. Is there a solution?

I know that microsoft did a silverlight version for mac, but when I try to install it on my ipod touch, it doesn't work. But maybe it will be different on a ipad? (But I'll wait to have a confirmation before buying it!)

Not for downloading Silverlight as it is not supported on the iPad. Flash is not supported either so maybe the iPad is not the best choice for you.

AFAIK - Silverlight can still be downloaded on a Mac and I know that Flash can be installed so maybe the MacBook Air would be a better choice.

Safari for iOS (iPad, iPhone & iPod Touch) does not allow plugins (flash, silver light, java, etc) and never will...

Silverlight will not work natively on iPad and there is no plugin. But, I did some research for you (Google is a powerful tool) and I found there's an App in the App Store called Splashtop Remote Browser How it works, or wheter it works well, I have no clue.

Silveight is not officially supported for any tablet.

Microsoft may drop sliverlight altogether:
