Define outside iPhone ? If it's been synced before it will transfer apps to iTunes which aren't there but are on the iPhone.
OK so i'm tryna transfer some music from my iTunes library to my friends iPhone I got the message saying an iPhone can only be synced to one iTunes library and gives the option to Erase and Sync. Our concern is that all her apps will be lost during this process.
Yes they will if they don't exist in your iTunes library. It would be less messing around to put the music on a DVD and give her the DVD to add them to her library.
cool thanx
you will lose the apps, but all app purchases are available on your friends iphone for re-download. simply go to app store, go to updates, then go to purchased, then not on this iphone. simple. the message you get lets you know that you can only sinc music from one source.
I have an iPhone and wanted to finally add some music to it. I had synced it up wiht my mac for a long time. Today when I got the message about it erasing the library I was concerned and saw a number of these posts. Regardless I backed up my iPhone and had to erase and sync otherwise, I'd never get my music. From what I can see only the music library was affected. The apps I had on there were not erased, nor were pictures, etc. now I can happily listen to music and not have to spend my day reinstalling my iphone.
