I have a new iPad 64GB WiFi, no 4G. I also have an account with Verizon Wireless which provides me with a 4G LTE USB Modem, a Novatel USB551L, that I normally use on my Win7 laptop. I'd like to also use this device on my new iPad. Is this possible?

You cannot use a USB modem with an iPad. You'd need a MiFi device, which basically acts as a wireless router to the cell carrier, or to set up your laptop to share it's internet connection via WiFi.

Google CradlePoint and you can find they sell a mobile Hotspot/Router that your USB modem will plug into. This will then provide wifi for all your mobile devices. I think they retail for about $79 on Amazon.
I forgot I had a CradlePoint CTR500. Got it up and running with new micricode and it does the jobs perfectly. Thanks!
