Apple Application Support directory location?

Hi,

I have installed the new Safari 5.1.4 for Windows 7, but I couldn't locate the Apple Application Support directory under Program Files\Common Files\Apple. I have a older version of Safari installed on my other machine and it has the Apple Application Support directory in that location.

Also in the Control panel there is no entry for the Apple Application Support package. Has something changed with this update? Where can I find the Apple Application Support directory?

Is that on a 64-bit Windows 7? If so, the AAS program files should be at:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\

Yes, it is 64-bit Win 7. But, the Apple Application Support is not in the above path.

I did a system wide search and was suprised to see the result page showing Apple Application Support directory under C:\Program Files (x86)\Safari\

Is it as expected? I couldn't find any information regarding this change in the directory location.

That's peculiar. On my system it currently lives at:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\

... and has done for some time.

If you update to Safari 5.1.5, does the standard location for AAS get reestablished?

I updated to 5.1.5 and the AAS still doesn't appear under Common Files. I'm starting to think its because I don't have any other Apple Software installed like QuickTime or iTunes on my machine.

I'll try to install QuickTime sometime and verify this.
