Purchased OS X Lion, error downloading

I purchased OS X Lion, it appears in Purchases and in red to the right it says "An error has occurred. (The update/install rectangle icon to the right is grey). So, I went to purchase it again and it said that I have already purchased it, so the update is free. But the update went to my work bar at the bottom and says waiting... It is stuck, and I still dont know how to download Lion. Please help. I have Mac OS X Version 10.6.8, everything is up to date.

iMac (27-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.8)

When you click on purchases hold the option key down and it should let you download it again.

I tried that initially, and thats where it said an error occurred in download. I just did that again and now it is not showing up under purchases.

I am having this same exact problem. It would start downloading and then freezes. After than it says error occured while downloading

It might not be the answer but I tried to download overnight and when i woke there was an error message. I plugged the ethernet connection and tried it that way....turned out my problem was my wifi, (48mb/s) wasn't up to the job

hope it's as simple as that
