I have lost the App Store icon on iPad.
Does anyone know hot to get the app icon back as it seems to have disappeared since I updated the software.

Assuming that you are talking about the App Store App ....Go to Settings>General>Restrictions. If you have restrictions enabled you may have disabled syncing of apps.
If that isn't the case, swipe from screen to screen and look for it. You cannot delete the preinstalled apps.
