My MacBook (late 2008) Ser. No. W8******1AQ does not recognize the superdrive. Any disc I insert after about a minute it ejects them.
My MacBook does not recognize the slot-loading SuperDrive. Once I load in a disc after about a minute it ejects it. I have tried several different disc and it does the same thing. I looked at the device listed on finder and no superdrive listed.
