Just noticed we are all level one posters. Yay to us!

I get the same problem, usually when I leave my computer for a few hours.

I find the quickest way to "resolve" the hundreds of warking boxes is to kill iTunes (ie. through task manager) and restart it.

Having the same problem with an iPod (the first generation to feature the camera), an iPhone 4S and the new iPad - it pretty much makes iTunes unusable. Reassuring to find that other people have the same problem but equally disappointed that Apple seems to have taken no steps to rectify this issue!

I am having the same problem. I have an iPhone 4, iPad 2, and iPod Touch all synced to this same iTunes on Windows 7. I don't use this computer every day, so I sometimes find my devices haven't synced in days or even a week or more. Holding down the Enter key is less of a pain than killing the program (thanks for that), but it shouldn't be happening. Apple needs to address it.

Just to add to my post.  I'm using WinXP Pro, and as well may not touch my "iTunes PC" for days.  Even holding down the enter key will get rid of the stockpile of warnings, but they still eventually pop up now and then.  i find to make iTunes usable and sync my devices I have to exit (or kill iTunes) and restart it.

same problem here, I have to kill the itunes task to use itunes.

Im getting the same thing, since we got no action or response from Apple. I plug each Idevice and uncheck "sync with this iphone, ipad or ipod over wi-fi !!!!!

same problem, VERY annoying.  definitely started after i synced more than one item.  I had only an iPad, but now added two iphones and have the problem...

Yep same problem here also - killing itunes via task manager (something I had to do with a lot of programms - around 10 years ago! - wouldnt expect to have to do this now-a-days!).

    I also have x2 Iphone 4 and x1 Ipad2.

Get the problem every time itunes is open - (very rarely connect with a cable).

Wish they would at least reply - and even better sort it out! So poor that you have to End Task an application in this day and age - shocking.

I tried uninstalling every piece of Apple software from my PC in the hopes that this might fix the problem but it did not. It was suggested that it might be an issue with the fact that the (new) iPad had been restored from a first-gen iPad. I restored the iPad to its factory settings and began the initial process of setting up the iPad as a 'new' device (as opposed to restoring from a backup). While an absolute pain to do, it has solved the problem and the iPad now syncs through iTunes as normal...

Maybe it's a problem with 'restored' devices?

    Hi JPlace86,

Great observation  unfortunately none of my devices were restored.

    I hope Apple responds soon.

Worth a try!! Did a hard reset not work either? I only had the issue with my iPad whilst my iPod and iPhone were able to sync without a problem - that's what led me to believe it was an issue with the hardware and not the software as initially expected...

This discussion perfectly describes my pain too.

The consistent theme would seem to be Windows (mine's Win7) - is there anyone that gets this non-windows?

Similarly to many on this post, I use my windows system as itunes media box for the family - as so nothing sync until the endless pop ups have been removed.

I'm hoping that this is the final mess up after the IPv6 debacle that kept dropping my Home Shares, and then ATV connections issue fixed with a release yesterday. I want to love apple, but wow, they are making it hard!!!

    Listen, and fix it apple.

Lame... After years of trouble free Zune wifi sync I was astounded how horrible

this is on iTunes. I already hated iTunes as it is but not being to sync my families devices and have a single ounce of answer from apple besides "Reinstall iTunes" is ridiculous. It's 2012 get it together apple.

I'm sure there's probably a lot more going on here, but at least put in a quick fix so that if there is already an error message, iTunes doesn't keep queueing them up!  HUNDREDS of popups is absolutely correct, and extremely annoying.  Killing iTunes from task manager is a quick fix, but half of the time it generates a "Updating iTunes Library" delay when the app is re-opened.  Not to mention that the kids start throwing things at me because I stopped their show being streamed to the multiple Apple TVs around the house.  This has been going on for months and months now.

I know you hate us for being Windows users, but it looks like most of us with this issue have purchased more than our fair share of Apple products.
