would it possible to locate my iPhone if it's turned off or the battery is down with Find my iPhone?

the location service is a receive service thats how gps works it don't transmit anything it only receive signals from the sats
it then rely on an active internet connection to provide the location to the iCloud so no internet connection not location
and as soon as it's restored to factory default or the find my iphone app is removed it will no longer be able to send locations to icloud
