Have you tried syncing your device to your itunes account. I would recommend a hard restore, I know it takes a while however it pays dividends, because it sounds like your ipad might have been corupted somewhere, it happens from time to time. My ipad was corrupted out of the box, however once I did a hard restore, it has not had another problem.

I downloaded movie and moved it to Ipad 3 from my mac. prior to take off i start watching move and stop it when airplane door shuts. I then turn ipad 3 on and low an behold move " can not open". aurgh... great then i sync ipad to mac and still can not start film again. ok I try to move it back to mac and it disappears. Sh*T. ok luck i have one more film loaded... binging prepared is goign to pay off. Not. Get same error withthis film can not load.

I then pay to use gogo to see if device need access back to itunes central... nope. resync stil no good.

You cannot download movies, videos, clips of any sort from anywhere on the Internet using Safari on the iPad.

Safari will only own download jpegs or PDFs.

iPads only play a subset of mp4 video, they will not playback WMV's, divx, xvid, mkv's or flash videos.

Here is an explanation for you for the "could not load movie" error, which I have also received on my iPad.

Realizing the above YouTube links could have been taken down, so it will not apply to those, but if you run across this error on your iDevice, keep the following in mind:

This is taken from another site, so I will quote:

"Most of the time its due to the age of the video upload, this one for example was done back in 2009 which was 2 years ago now. YouTube as you know relies heavily on Flash for video playback which is not compatible with the iOS range.

However to combat this, YouTube did work on converting chunks of videos to H264 playback, but by default the entire backlog of videos did not go through this conversion process...so you will find the odd video out there that does not play.

I believe though (and please someone correct me here if i am wrong) YouTube by default now encodes uploads in H264 as well as flash and a few other formats for multi-platform enjoyment :-) "
