The iPhone "My Name here" could not be synced because the iPhone could not be found on the network.

When I open iTunes it is slow to open for one, and two when it does see my iPhone and i go to sync it this is what I get in return... The iPhone "My Name here" could not be synced because the iPhone could not be found on the network. that is a pop up box in middle of screen that says that it does it like every time I go to sync the phone after i do app updates. I am getting very frustrated by this can someone please help. I have made 2 other discussion topics about this and no replies on them. Please if anyone can help I ask for help. This has occurred ever since the iOS 5.1 update and the iTunes 10.6.0 and still continues with the iTunes 10.6.1 update just yesterday and perhaps even worse now. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN. I have looked through my network settings etc and everything looks good here on my side.

okay, so I turned off the WiFi from settings then wifi from my phone, i used cable and unchecked sync this iphone over wifi and then hit sync and it synced no problem. I did a sync with cable before leaving the wifi turned on from phone and had sync this iphone over wifi and it worked, it syncs that way. the only problem i am getting is when i do it without the cable/cord, it says

The iPhone "My Name here" could not be synced because the iPhone could not be found on the network. when i try to sync it like that.

this all started with the 5.1 iOS update and the 10.6 iTunes update. I never had such problems syncing and opening up itunes. even itunes now opens up real slow.

I do not know what has happened but trying to sync my iPhone 4S to my computer on my WiFi network it keeps saying can not find the iPhone on the network so it could not sync and it happens constantly now, ever since the update of iTunes to 10.6 and continues on 10.6.1 and update on the iOS 5.1, it doesn't sync like it did prior to the updates where it had no issue syncing.

i do not know either. it did not help, i still get the same result. it takes like 3 to 4 times to fool with it to actually get it to sync but it does after like i said 3 to 4 maybe 5 times fooling /messing around with it. settings, wifi, renew lease, turn off wifi, then back on turn off phone and turn back on, exit itunes and reopen it, it finally does sync but takes time. if others know a resolution to this please reply or if a apple rep or tech knows something please reply as well.

OKAY!!!! I AM F*&KING ****** OFF!!!! APPLE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT SYNCING. I MEAN **** I CAN NOT SYNC MY PHONE OR IPAD WITH ITUNES WOUT IT SAYING CAN NOT FIND IPAD OR IPHONE ON NETWORK. I HAVE RESET NETWORK SETTINGS, RESET ROUTER. TURNED OFF COMPUTER, RESTARTED COMPUTER. TURNED OFF PHONE< TURNED OFF IPAD AND RESTARTED THEM AS WELL AND NOTHING!!! I ALSO RENEW LEASE FROM EACH. AND STILL NOTHING!!! iOS 5.1.1 AND iTUNES 10.6.1 DO NOT WORK WELL. THEY NEED TO UPDATE THEM AGAIN SO THAT FOR THOSE OF US THAT ARE HAVING THESE ISSUES WILL GET SOME TYPE OF RELIEF AFTER THAT HAPPENS, BUT FOR NOW I AM SURE I SPEAK FOR ALOT OF THE PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE I AM HAVING. APPLE STOP FOR ONE SECOND AND LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE THAT SOME OF US ARE HAVING. IT IS HAPPENING TO ME ON BOTH COMPUTERS AS I HAVE 2 iPHONE 4S's AND 1 iPAD 3. IT IS HAPPENING ON BOTH WITH ALL ITEMS. 1COMPUTER HAS WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE 64 BIT AND THE OTHER HAS WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM 64 BIT. PLEASE HELP AND LOOK INTO THIS AND GET A FIX FOR THIS, PLEASE!!!! IT ONLY WORKS WHEN PLUGGED IN, CAN ONLY SYNC PHONE, IPAD TO COMPUTER WHEN PLUGGED IN, CAN NOT WIFI SYNC IT IT WILL NOT WORK, JUST SAYS CAN NOT SYNC AS CAN NOT FIND, IPAD OR IPHONE ON NETWORK. HAVE TO REVERT TO USING CORD TO SYNC RATHER THEN WIFI SYNCING.

I got here via google search for the error message; this thread was ranked #1. I have just updated to iOS 5 on my iPhone 4 and got the same error message. I had three versions of Bonjour, the first was set to private, the last two to public under windows Firewall. I clicked all boxes for Bonjour, so 3 private and 3 public and bingo! Syncing via wifi works. (You'll see what I'm talking about once you read the how-to on the site). Just remember, don't do all the things they recommend, go little by little until it works.

I hope this helps you,

Nope, none of that helped. I still get all the same results. No matter what I do. I have virtually done everything I can possibly think of. I have uninstalled itunes and all its components in order that I was to do it in, rebooted computer and double checked to make sure all traces were removed. Then I reinstalled all components and set up everything like how I wanted and needed it to be with in itunes and my network and to no avail still did not work and has not worked properly since the itunes 10.6.1 update and iOS 5.1.1 update. Everything worked completely fine no issues at all then, just since the updates it has not worked as it is suppose to work as stated by Apple themselves. Apple Tech's and Engineers need to look into it before they do anymore updates and get the current bugs and kinks worked out.

The iPhone "My Name here" could not be synced because the iPhone could not be found on the network.
