Launch any app that uses your built-in iSight and use the app's Help menu command for instructions.

If needed, use Mac's Finder > Help menu command to search for "iSight" (without quotation marks) to start.  If needed, this Support search may help.

Apple applications like System Preferences > Accounts, Photo Booth, iMovie, iChat, and QuickTime Pro can use your camera with OS X 10.5.8.  Use the app(s) that provides the functions you want.  (Readers using Mac OS X 10.7 will find that their QuickTime Player Version 10.x can use the camera without upgrading to QT Pro.)

Some of the other apps listed on this old page also may work with your system (check requirements):  http://www.ralphjohns.co.uk/EZJim/EZJimpage7.html.  Some of these apps are apparently no longer offered by their developers, but alternatives may be available via web search.
