Something really strange has been happening. Twitter (and most third-party platforms) do not work on my Safari (MacbookPro).
it just loads and loads and never completes the task.
I can't use twitter, except via my paid hootsuite account.
what to do?

The same exact thing is happening to me. Twitter specifically isn't showing the followers or following. Just a blank bottom portion of the site. Works perfectly fine on Chrome and Firefox.
Right click Reload Page seems to be the only way to get content to show up.
On a potentially related note, it also is showing older data a lot of times. Not refreshing the content with current info unless I right click Reload Page every time.
Seems like a caching issue?
Having same issue with follow/following/search buttons. Rendering blank page. Using Safari 6.0. Evrything works fine on iPhone though. What gives?
Yeah, I'm using Safari 6 in Lion, and at first it wouldn't load "Twitter is loading very slowly, please reload and try again, etc." . Now it loads, but the Follow button, and other items on the page, don't work. This is the only site with this problem, as far as I can tell.

Twitter is now working as it should. Just tried it out & all buttons working fine.
Well the buttons on Twitter still aren't working yet for me. OS 10.7.5, brand new MacPro. Safari Version 6.0.1. I've had to open Google Chrome to click on any links in Twitter. It does load faster, however.

Update to Safari 5.1.10 for snowleopard 10.5 to 10.6.8 🙂
