application support folder??

I've been going nuts trying to find an "application support" folder for my plugins on FCPX. I know I'm suppost to look in my MacHD and not in my user folder but its just not showing up. Someone responded to my question and told me to ask in the Lion forum because there are "hidden" folders in Lion. Does anyone have any knowledge in this department? I'd sure appreciate it.

Mac OS X (10.7.3)

There are two Applications Support folders. One is in the /Library/ folder and the other is in the /Home/Library/ folder. The latter folder is hidden but you can reveal it by doing the following:

Open the Terminal application in the Utilities folder and paste the following command line:

chflags nohidden ~/Library

Press RETURN.

Or select Go To Folder from the Finder's Go menu. Enter /Users/your_account_username/Library/ in the field then click on the Go button.

Wow , nice! Now that that's checked off the list...maybe you can help me with one more thing?...

I would like to install some "Too Much Too Soon" plugins which give's me these install instructions :

~Install by copying this folder to your FCP or FCE plugins directory (Usually /Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro System Support/Plugins)~

I'm looking for a "Final Cut Pro System Support" folder and all I have in here is "Final Cut Pro" for some reason. Is there some other place I need to put these plugins with Lion that differs from other versions?

I've been reading other forums and I'm not getting very far in the process. I've even read that I need to MAKE a "Final Cut Pro System Support" - "Plugins" folder in Application Support but that dosn't sound right.

I found this video that even confirms that I'm missing the "Final Cut Pro System Support" folder :

I know nothing about FCP. Did you look inside the /Library/Applications Support/Final Cut Pro/ folder to see if either or both of the referenced folders exist? Could be you are trying to install older software in a much newer version of FCP. The folder arrangments may have changed.

I think the best thing to do is note down what version of FCP you now have installed. Contact the developer of this add-on software and ask how it should be correctly installed. I wouldn't want to give you suggestions for software I've never seen installed or never used.
