uncheck Automaticaly hide and show the dock if checked
or
Apple menu / Dock/ see whats checked also look at Dock preferences.

display with mouse.
clicking on the greyed out two arrows (Top right of Screen ) will make screen go to full screen mode and make task bar disappear

Mar 30, 2012 4:34 PM in response to pennbankby sean9891,I've tried these and they unfortunately don't seem to work. When I click back on the desktop the dock and menu bar reappear, it's only when I'm on another application that they disappear.
