Movies download at a glacial pace (<1Kb per minute)

I redeemed a coupon (through Warner Bros.) to obtain a Digital Copy of the Lord of the Rings movies (actually, I've only redeemed the first one so far).

The coupon was recognized by iTunes and The Fellowship of the Ring movie appears in my list of iTunes Downloads, and the system keeps trying to download it. However, the pace is so slow - less than a kilobyte a minute - that it would take more than a century to download at this pace!

Note that when I initially tried to download the movie I received a 3259 error, however, that is no longer happening. I'm just mentioning it for background. I do not need help with 3259 errors.

I did write to Apple support but their response was not helpful.

Any suggestions?

1. I'm trying to download it on my Windows PC. My system is running Windows XP and is completely up to date with that OS and all the latest Windows Updates.
2. I am using the latest version of iTunes, version 10.6
3. I do not have trouble with other iTunes downloads, including podcasts.
4. I have broadband (DSL) access.
5. I use Norton Internet Security and all Apple programs are free and allowed access.
6. I have a Windows Firewall exception for iTunes so that it can run freely.

Note: I also have a netbook computer that is iTunes-authorized, and it runs with Windows 7 Starter edition. I am experiencing the same problem with this machine.
