Q: Can't get Apple Express to join new network

Trying to set up a new network with a new Apple Extreme base, utilizing my A express from an older LAN as part of the deal;

Apple TV, Macbook Air, Kindle, and a Dell PC all good; but the changes to the express just don't seem to take?

Have tried many time to reconfigure the devise with the same result - not recognised by Apple Utility after update

Got my Express plugged in to an ethernet wire to the Extreme base, hard reset, and it is "green"; Apple utility sees it as "orange"; make my best guess on the settings hit "update" and its no longer seen; reset Utility and express try again - same results (just wht Einstein predicted), what should I do different?

airport express, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

Is your AirPort Express Base Station an 802.11n or 802.11g model? Regardless, what is your primary goal for using the Express? That is do you want it to extend the wireless range of the new Extreme or just have it join the wireless network provided by the Extreme for either/or iTunes streaming / sharing a USB printer?
