Problems with iPhone 4S and Peugeot 407 bluetooth carkit

Hi,

I have a Peugeot 407 with a standard bluetooth carkit system. The problem is that with an incoming call no sound is being produced, only a message in the car's display. Also the number of the caller is not visible.

With other phones (not Apple) everything works fine with the car bluetooth system.

Does anyone have a solution ?

I have the lated iOS 5.1

Last time it suddenly worked, I heared my normal ringtone over the speakers. Maybe a fix was implemented with the latest version of iOS?

I've got 5.1.1 (9B206)

I think the time it worked was just a lucky glitch, it is still not working (except that one time). Apple please fix this!

It is not Apple's responsibility to support Car manufacturers

They can all be Registered Developers and understand any changes

about to be implemented but they generally do not bother

and the level of Bluetooth for instance will be that available

when the car was released .

Apple will be continually improving the iOS with the latest levels

and technology .....as you would expect

Apple is hardly going to run around after motor manufacturers

I can understand your point of view, and I agree for the most part. However, a lot of people are complaining on the internet having bluetooth connectivity problems. Why can all other vendor phone work perfectly (I tried different Android phones and old (not smart)phones), they all work without problems and the iphone has troubles?

Sure, maybe the cars implementation of the bluetooth is faulty, but this can also be the case for the iphone implementation which makes it the responsibility for Apple to fix it.

I have the same problem with my 09 ford focus. It has a sony sound system that came with the car from new, I had an iphone 3gs before which connected to the car everytime. yet my 4s finds it but will not pair!!!! I've been into the apple store to ask and they say there is nothing that can be done!!!! I wish now i had stuck with my 3gs far better phone than this pile of junk.

Apple iPhone iOS circa 2012

A lot has changed in 3 years in phone technology especially as

Apple is leading edge ,hardly an accusation

that can be aimed at a 2009 Ford Focus

How can Apple fix the generally pathetic attempts of the

motor industry in telecommunications go round to each one and help them

It is the MM responsibility not Apple

You would soon complain if Apple were still on 3.1 iOS

There is nothing wrong with Apple's implementation just

apathy by the Auto industry

My point is. Why fix something thats not broke!!!! Every other Iphone i have had has paired wih my car!!! didnt realise that by changing my phone that would also mean buying a new car!!! Rather exspensive phone.

@ Peter Gillespie, did you implement the bluetooth software on the iphone or are u involed in the implementationproces? If not, you can not know that there is nothing wrong with the implementation of Apple.
