Why can't i have the same playlists on my MacBook Pro, iPhone and iPod Touch?? Won't sync as I have them on my computer.

I have a lot of Smart Playlists on iTunes and when I sync my devices the playlists names match, but the content doesn't. Each device has different songs inside the playlists. Not even the number of songs match in most of the playlists. What's the problem??
