removing gloss from pictures -

In using the IPhoto features (quick fixes, effects & adjust) is there anyway to tone down the gloss or shine from a picture prior to submitting it for printing - pictures seem very glossy when printed - Some are very hard to frame as the gloss and frame glass emit too much brightness - thank you -

How are you printing. Usually the only way to avoid glossy prints is to use matte paper.

By gloss or shine do you mean a light reflection or over exposure from areas of the photo that seem to wash out the detail or color? Otherwise if you're referring to the glossy surface of the print Keith has already answered it.


Apple doesn't offer matte paper but some of the other online photofinishers do. Here's a site that lists some of the online photofinishers and what they offer: Best Online Photo Processors | Digital Printing Services
