hiya friends
im trying to change my main user picture when i log into my imac. i know the procedure but everytime i go to restart my pc or boot it up its the same old display pic of mine. can anyone direct me where im going wrong please - im using mac lion.
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.3)
Accounts system preferences --> choose the account --> change the picture (click on the picture next to the Change Password button)
You can also drag a picture on to the the frame.
I am. And it makes no difference. The photo switches back every time, even if you click the lock before selecting a new photo and again after you've made the selection. 😐
this is really frustrating ! it changes to complete random pics - apple needs to sort this mess out!!!
its actually changing to random peoples pics on my facebook now!
This is a little maddening and frustrating.
I use the padlock, I've tried My Card in Address Book.
Is iCloud jacking it up?
This needs fixed!
Since I last posted here I have downloaded and used OnyX on 2 computers and it worked beautifully with no foulups. I am using 10.6.8 but they have a Lion compatible on their website and I personally have not seen any postings reporting any trouble with it. Here's the Link:

Try going to Address Book > Card > Go To My Card > Edit Picture for each user
This has mysteriously stopped happening since upgrading to OS 10.7.4. Anyone else still having this problem with the latest OS vesion?
I believe Version 10.7.4 has fixed this issue for us.
So far so good with 10.7.4.
This morning back to its old ways of removing login pictures. Lasted about 4 days.
I'm experiencing this issue as well, anybody found a solution yet??

This worked it out after one more time of unlocking picking picture and then locking again in the accounts utiility. Always double checking under contacts My Card for each account use on my computer. Holding for about a week so far.
Well, this just started to happen to me. I'd really like to know how to make it stop. My picture keeps changing to a parrot. When I go to my address card, there's no picture there. But on the user account, it shows the parrot. Here's what I did... we'll see if it works.
I woke up to the same problem this morning. The picture that I took and used when I first set up my computer back in November was gone and was replaced with a soccer ball!
