Matt is dead on correct, every printer will be different. The printer has to have either Ethernet or Wi-Fi capabilities in order to have a Wi-Fi address though. Look at your printer's documentation or consult with the manufacturer. If your printer has multi line screen on it for inputting options then look under the Networking utilities and it will probably somewhere there, you will have to print out the network configuration page.

You can go to your router configuration utility (usually accessed via local web address in a browser) and it can print out all the IP addresses of every device on the local network. You can identify your printer in that list by either name or by its MAC address number. My linksys router has an easy way of doing that.

What is your canon printer model? Mine is MG8120 and it has a small touch screen attached to the printer/scanner. When you go into the "Setup" screen, there is an option to review wireless LAN settings, and it indicates the IP number there for the device.
