Yes, it should work. Post how you're doing it (Apple Software Update? downloading from apple.com directly?) and any error messages.
I tried installing both ways and I get a network connection error but I have installed this update on my other two laptops with no issues? One has a vista operating system and the other has a win 7 operating system.

What's the precise text of that error, please? (There's a couple of different ones I can think of that you might be getting.)
I just tried to download again and got the message "itunes has an invalid signature. The download has been removed." I have tried to download several times and every time I get this message??? Please help!!
That one suggests the installer is getting damaged during the download.
What browser did you use for the download when you downloaded an installer from the Apple Website?

Are you able to get a working installer if you use Firefox instead of IE (or vice versa)?
I have also tried to install from Firefox and I have to save the file because it doesn't give me a run option. After download is complete I try to run it and I get "iTuneSetup.exe is not a valid Win32 application."
"iTuneSetup.exe is not a valid Win32 application."
That one's also consistent with the installer getting damaged during the download.
I'd try downloading and saving a copy of the installer to a different PC. Copy the installer to an external hard-drive, or a large-enough thumb drive or burn it to a CD-R. Carry the installer back to your PC, copy the installer to your hard drive. (Don't run the install from the ExHD, thumb or CD-R.) Start the install by doubleclicking the iTunesSetup.exe file.
