Recently I decided to optimize my mac 10.4.9 and i used my install disc 1 and used the erase and format option for the installation type. Without being aware, they asked me to insert a second install disc which i have lost. WHAT DO I DO??

Called AppleCare and order a new set. They will charge you a nominal fee for shipping and handling.

Hi allan so today i actually went to the apple store and spoke with one of the workers there and they said that they were not able to help because they did not carry 10.4.9 apple discs 1 and 2. he said i could try buying the snow leopard disc but it may not work because i am in the process of installing OS X 10.4.9 but i dont have the second disc
Start over & try this where many Disc #2s were defective...
That second Disc thing happens frequently, the best way around it is to do a Custom install, and eliminate enough Printer Drivers, Languages, Fonts, and Applications you don't need... then it may skip #2 altogether.
BDAqua this sounds like it may work but how do i turn my computer off properly do i just hold the power button? btw ty

You have to power down, then hold the Mouse button down while booting up to eject that Disc, also hold the Option/alt key at the same time to bring up the Boot Manager & give you a chance to insert Disc #1 again & wait for it to show as a boot choice.
