FTP problems

Dear Forum.

Last summer i bougth a new iMac, i already owned a old Macbook Pro, so i just connected both of them and then transferd all my files included iWeb over to my new iMac. Then today i was going to update my webside, keep in mind that i haven't updated my webside since on my old Macbook pro. Because of that longe periode i can't remember my FTP infomations, so i contact my host and get them from them. Now comes the problem, when i am typping in my FTP informations and click "Test connection" i says "Can't write to server. controlle your settings and try again" i know the settings are right.

What do i do?

Is it because i am running Mac OS Lion? i also had a problem with the Google Maps widget.

Hope you can help me

Thank you

iWeb '08, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

When iWeb tests the connection it attempts to write a file on the server.

Where it writes is determined by the pathname you entered.

If the location is write-protected or read-only your get the error.

So check the pathname.

In case of doubt go to your server to see what is actually there.

And even if the write attempt is succesfull, it still might not be the location where you have to store the webpages.
