email issue
I need to change my ip address for my email, have a new one issued from web site hosting company but mac mail doesn't recognize it. Please help

I feel like you've perhaps misunderstood what your hosting company wants you to do. It seems unlikely that they need to change your IP address, unless you've got some very funky going on with a corporate mail requirement. I suspect if that was the case you'd be on a VPN or behind a static IP.
Are you perhaps asking about the outgoing server or outgoing server port that Mail uses? Can you elaborate on what information they gave you?
