I've lost iChat

Hi there,

I've lost iChat!? I recently 'fresh' installed my iMac with Lion. Downloaded Messages beta and now iChat is gone. I've searched in spotlight and it's not there. Does anyone know where I can download it from directly?

Regards,

Cos

Hi,

Glad you found an answer.

( I take it you are no longer using the Thomson-Alcatel ?)

Hello Ralph,

I cannot believe you even remember me, let alone that I was using that router when you first helped me, what-at least six years ago!!?

You are such a gent. I often see your helpful posts on here and am still grateful you sorted my 'port un sipping' problem all that time ago.

And to answer your question-I'm still with the same router!

I really need to upgrade!

Regards,

Cos.

Nope,

Just Old chats stored on my computer. 😁

Recognised the name and looked some of them up.

I have some things that go back to 2004

Hi,

After my Alcatel died I went to a Netgear DG8434G but this was some time ago.

I would still go for a Netgear if I had to by a new one.

Netopia and Motorola (same company now) do not have UPnP which you nned for iChat/Messages Screen Sharing so avoid those.

Belkin make better USB stuff than routers or Modems that route (So also avoid them).

D-Links seem ok but Some people seem to say they don't last.

Currently I use a Sagem Fast2504 but it is branded from SKY (they Hard Code the User ID in to the software and make it difficult to change devices)

Other than that I have no complaints on it though.
