Apr 2, 2012 10:11 AM in response to Thomas Koshyby Niel,Phone Apple Support and ask if they still have it in stock. Alternatively, you can use a Mac OS X 10.4.3 through 10.5.6 retail DVD, but these won't install iLife and don't contain the Apple Hardware Test.

Apr 2, 2012 11:16 AM in response to Thomas Koshyby Allan Jones,★HelpfulApple will need your serial number when you call to insure they send the proper disk for your PowerBook variant. A lot of people are finding that Apple no longer has disks for many G-deries Macs, so be prepared to hear a "no."
If that fails, it will be easier for people to help you find a disk if you fill in the "Geographic location" field in your profile. It doesn't make much sense for us to recommend a source only to find you are in a region the vendor does not serve.

Apr 3, 2012 9:51 AM in response to Thomas Koshyby Allan Jones,Thomas:
Apple needs the serial number. We are not Apple here; everyone is an end-user like you, sharing what we know about Macs. I've asked the Hosts to remove your serial number. Save it for when you call Apple.
Posting a serial number here is not safe.
