Safari - Won't play video at Yahoo.com

Lately, when I click to play a video in a new article on Yahoo.com, all I get is a spinning circle as if the video were loading, but nothing happens. I'm left looking at a black video screen and the spinning circle.

I have the newest version of Flash, I've tried turning off Ghostery, my only extension, but still no video. I am able to play YouTube video, as well as video I've captured with Miro.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Hi,

I'm having the same problem and can't seem to find any help on the Click to Flash FAQ. The behaviour is the same as described by Galb. It's not related to a specific page: it's every video on Yahoo. I tried white-listing the Yahoo domain in the Click to Flash preferences, but hard to understand really what one should do unless one is an experienced developer, which I am not. Needless to say, I wasn't successful. I'm running OS 10.8.2, Safari 6.0.2 on a late model MacBook Pro 15" with 8 Gb of RAM and a 3.01 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with the latest version of Click to Flash. I think it has something to do with Click to Flash/Yahoo/Safari. Safari 6 has been a severely disappointing upgrade and, based on my research on this forum, one is unable to downgrade to Safari 5.

thanks
