Dice Duo Adaptor

I installed the Dice Duo iPod adaptor in my 2004 BMW M3 along with the ashtrap dock. The system works great once the iPod is locked and placed in the dock. The problem is my iPod Touch (4th Generation) does not recognize the Dice Duo once the power is cut off and turned back on (ignition off and on). The message on the iPod is something along the lines that the iPod does not support this accessory. I have tried an iPod Classic and another 4G iPod Touch and both worked perfectly after turning the car off and on. I have updated the Dice firmware, updated the iPod OS, rebooted the iPod, and restored the iPod with no luck. Has anybody experienced this or have suggestions why just my iPod Touch is having communication problems with the Dice system. The iPod works just fine otherwise.
