Why does my laptop not connect with WiFi printer.
Epson workforce 610 printer does not appear in the system pref printer list. Works fine with Mac Pro.
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Have you installed the printer software and drivers?
To my knowledge it will not automatically show up. You have to Add the Printer which mean you have to go into Print & Scan and add the printer.
Here's how to set it up with AirPrint:

P.S. here is a list of compatible printers for this task. See if yours is compatible:
Yes, I installed the software. When I click on Print & Fax, I see "no printers are available, click add ➕ .... which I did. None appear, which in the past, they have.
workforce 610 is not supported according to the list, but thanks anyway
How is the wireless printer connected to your network? Through a router?
Yes, there is a router. Note that my Mac Pro desktop works fine over the network.

I thought you say in your last post that your printer is not supported. Or was that for that airprint post.
Sorry but it's been some time since I setup my printers on my Mac but isn't there a dialog box or option to search for the printer and or type in the IP address of the printer.
That was for the airprint post.
Why is my iPad unable to find my printer? my iPhone and My wife's iPad are able to find and Print but not mine. I just upgraded my router and it worked fine prior to the upgrade. Any suggestions?
Thanks
