Can I use a 24" AHT disc in my 20" iMac to check my hard disk?

I have a 20" mid 2007 iMac I would like to upgrade to Snow Leopard. My problem is I would like to do a clean install but before I erase my hard drive I would like to make sure it in good shape. I found my AHT disc and found that the version number is 3A127 is for a 24" iMac. I don't know why I have the wrong disc. Is it usuable in the 20" iMac?

If you think that is the one for your Mac, try it.

If it doesn't work, you can call AppleCare and order a replacement DVD for your Mac. They will charge you shipping and handling.

Thank you Allan. I checked this article from Apple Support http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1883 and that is where I found the disc I should have is version 3A125, for my 20" iMac and the one I have, version 3A127 is listed for the 24" Macs. I'm not sure if trying the different size will possibly cause a problem for this old work horse. Any idea if it could mess it up? I thank you for your help.
