Download an app like pages or quickoffice.
You can't attach a document to an email like on a computer - you'll have to open the document in Pages or QuickOffice or whatever program you are using, and then email it from within the program.
Tying a resume for a friend, how can I email her completed resume?? By email??
Thanks! I'm still trying to figure out the Mac!!!!! Some days I miss the know-how of Windows....so basically, you have to purchase certain apps to do certain things on your Mac?
I have just downloaded the Pages on my Mac...I hope it is fairly easy! I appreciate the fantastic insight and help!!!
Well Mac and iPad are very different beasts. Sure from a deep down technical standpoint, they stand on the same foundation, but a Mac runs very much like a PC (though generally without the freezing and crashing and security issues). The iPad is more along the lines of the iPhone. Sure the look and feel of the iPad applications are much closer to that of the Mac, but the technology underneath is much closer to iPhone apps. The Mac ships with Mail, Address Book (Contacts), and iCal (Calendar). Those programs (though separate) are very similar, when combined, to MS Outlook on the PC (it's also available for Mac). They work in almost the same way. On the iPad however, they work more with the cloud and individual apps rather than the file system to which most users are acostomed. You send a file via email out of the app the file was created in, rather than through the email app.
