You have two choices.. keep using the Netgear as the main router.. or turn off the netgear routing function and use the TC. I would definitely opt for the later.
There is no direct bridging control in the Netgear but you can turn off NAT. Once you turn off NAT it should effectively become a straight modem.. I don't use cable so i forget where the control is, but just check advanced lan type of setup. You also should turn off wireless.

Once you have NAT off,
Wire LAN on the Netgear to WAN on the TC.. Turn off everything in the network. Then startup again, in this order..
modem-- TC--- clients. Wait a couple of minutes between each step.. but client can all turn on together.
and then start the setup the TC .. !!
