how can i fix this

Why not? What happens when you try? Does the iPod see the network? Has it ever connected successfully before? Have you tried each and every suggestion in this Apple support document?

i type password and it says unable to join the network The Mermalair 😟

go to settings-general-reset-reset network settings

if that doesnt work reset your router
