Q: Help Clients / MDCs can't connect after disableing/enable

Help!

I removed a computer form the san and did a fresh OSX install on its drive. When I went to re add it to the san it adds but the volume doesn't mount and in xsan admin is says fsmpm is not running. If i disable and and enable the san on the client I get an error saying "Failed to load volume list."

Here is the console code:

    Grim hope in the darkness.

I found a bunch of files with the wrong permission on my MDC01 in /private by tracking down a prosgate log issue. After manually fixing the permission things are looking up. I've gotten a new client to mount! I think I have had enough fun though I plan to backup the xsan config files and wipe both MDC's and restore the configs to see if life returns to normal.

I have a few new questions though!

What is the proper procedure for running cvfsck? I've seen many a post on this, but I'd like a refresher if anyone can point me in the right direction!

Also does anyone know if there is anything else I need to copy other then the xsan config files to get it up and running on a clean server install?
