US mac mini in Italy?

Due to big price difference I'm planning to buy a Mac Mini in USA to use in Italy. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to buy an Italian power cable separately or will a plug adapter suffice (not sure about voltages etc!)? Any other issues I should be aware of? Only concern would be getting it back to Europe and discovering it has a fault as I'm guessing I would have to return it to the USA for a replacement. Any help appreciated!

On a side note can anyone recommend a decent but relatively inexpensive widescreen monitor for it?

Standard widely used port in the mini for power. You can get one tailed with standard Italian two prongs at hardware and electronic stores, usually black. I forgot the spec number for the port but if you bring it to a store they'll know it. Otherwise Apple Stores or repair shops if you want a white one. Power supply should be auto-sensing for the 220V, should be stamped right on the Mini -- I can check mine later.

The mini uses 100V to 240V so you can use it in Europe. You can get a plug adapter or if you want buy a new power cable over there. Apple warranty coverage is global, so if there is an issue, take care of it there. My son had a power adapter issue in Spain with his US bought system and had no problem getting it replaced under warranty (we also have AppleCare on the notebook, but that shouldn't have made any difference as it was within it's 1 year hardware warranty).
